Goal Statement
NEACL works to provide a complete range of services for persons in our area who have an intellectual handicap.
Mission Statement
We believe that all persons should live in a state of dignity and have the opportunity and support to truly participate in and contribute to their own community.
Value Statement
We believe in the inherent worth and equality of all people.
We believe that individuals should be safe and treated with respect, kindness, dignity, and caring.
We believe that individuals should have freedom of choice and opportunity in all aspects of their lives including where they live, learn, work and play.
We believe that individuals should live in caring, inclusive, barrier-free communities.
We believe that services of the Association should be based on individualized person centred plans.
We believe that the Association should regularly seek out input from individuals, their families, volunteers and members of the community at large.
We believe that the Association should advocate on behalf of those that we serve.
We believe that the Association best provides services through internal collaboration amongst programs and the building of positive relationships with other community resources.
We believe in providing a trusting work environment for staff where fairness, equity, respect, support and involvement in decision-making are encouraged.
